SunSHINE Mystic Black

Cosmetics Technical Manager at Sun Chemical Performance Pigments, Kelly Dobos said:

“Cosmetic formulators strive to define trends and bring innovative products to consumers, while at the same time meeting the highest purity standards and specifications of global regulations in the market. And Sun Chemical’s portfolio of colors delivers. Our pigments and dyes can also be used in skin care and personal care products, where color plays a critical role in the consumer experience. Our colorants also satisfy the latest consumer trends, like lustrous metallic effects for lips, pearls for highlighting powders that make skin glow, and multi-functional products that blur the line between decorative cosmetics and skin care.”

New Addition - Unique Pearlescent Black

Visitors of booth #H70 will be introduced to Sun Chemical’s new SunSHINE Mystic Black. This black pearl effect pigment achieves a unique combination of jetness, coverage, sparkle and luster. The rich color can be used to create beautifully bold formulations for lipstick, mascara, eyeliners, eye shadows and nail lacquers.

  • SunSHINE Mystic Black is based on synthetic mica which provides a soft skin feel and high color purity compared to natural mica.
  • SunSHINE Mystic Black joins Sun Chemical’s SunSHINE family of pure synthetic mica-based pearlescent pigment colors ranging from iridescent colors to metallic effects with unrivaled sparkle and intensity.

SunSHINE pigments provide some of the lowest residual heavy metals levels available in the market, and their transparency, luster, chroma, broad range of particle sizes and smoothness make them ideally suited for use in all finished product formulations.

Expanded Portfolio of SunCROMA® Dyes

Visitors will be introduced to the newly expanded range of bright and bold colors from the SunCROMA line of FDA certified dyes. Compliant with all global regulations governing their intended use, the SunCROMA line offers a vast portfolio of chemistries and color spaces for decorative cosmetic and personal care products.

INTENZA® Colorants Intensify Color Palettes

The next generation of INTENZA pearlescent pigments combines certified organic colorants with synthetic mica substrates, resulting in remarkable hue and chroma without the need for intense grinding and milling. These pigments are free of additives and preservatives with heavy metal specifications that surpass global regulatory requirements.
