Stepan’s Sustainable Hair Conditioning Agent Wins 2021 ICIS Surfactants Award

Stepan Wins 2021 ICIS Surfactants AwardStepan Company has received the 2021 ICIS Surfactants Sustainability Award for its latest sustainable hair conditioning agent, STEPANQUAT® Soleil.

Derived from Sunflower Oil


STEPANQUAT® Soleil is 100 percent active and derived from locally sourced GMO-free sunflower oil, a renewable and sustainable feedstock locally sourced in Europe. The hair conditioning agent is readily biodegradable and free from silicones, glycols, preservatives and drying alcohols.

The ICIS Surfactants Awards recognize and reward companies paving the way in product, process and sustainability innovations in the industry. Entries to the ICIS Surfactants Awards are judged by a specially chosen panel of leading industry experts. They are looking for innovative projects that solve problems and provide solutions for companies, their customers and society at large, as well as benefitting the environment and progressing sustainability.
