WELLAGYL® - Skin Revitalizing Active

WELLAGYL® is an unprecedented cosmetic active ingredient which responds to a vision of beauty clearly expressed by women determined to enhance their well-being while staying in harmony with their age: aging well.

The Well-aging Concept Decrypted

For the first time, "aging well" has been modeled by SILAB at the level of the skin. Initially, the profiles of subjects aging poorly and aging well were established in vivo. The comparison of these profiles allowed to identify four skin parameters differentiating these two populations:

  • Wrinkles
  • Firmness
  • Complexion Radiance
  • Hydration

In Vivo Comparisons

The next step, in vitro, involved preparation and comparison of the genetic "ID cards" of cells aging poorly or aging well for the same age range, showing their impact of cell proliferation, migration and adhesion. At the level of cells, WELLAGYL® enables fibroblasts aging poorly to acquire the phenotype specific to a well-aging state by acting on the biological pathways of proliferation, migration and adhesion. At the level of tissues, WELLAGYL® reactivates the metabolism. It significantly improves the thickness of the epidermis (+100%), the synthesis of procollagen I (+94%) and the synthesis of hyaluronic acid (+95%).

At the level of the individual, WELLAGYL® significantly boosts the four major skin parameters associated with aging well:

  • Increased hydration (+14%, P < 0.01);
  • Accentuated firmness (+9.4%, P < 0.01);
  • Reawakened complexion radiance (+15.7%, P < 0.0001);
  • Reduced wrinkles (-16.1%, P < 0.005).

WELLAGYL® is the ideal product for skin aging poorly. Women's skin becomes healthy, hydrated and relaxed once more, revealing their natural, mature beauty.
