Lubrizol Life Science - Beauty’s PemuPur™ START polymer, a new polymeric emulsifier, won the Gold Award for innovative functional ingredients at in-cosmetics® Global in Paris.
The jury recognized ingredients that combine innovative science and product features in a way that demonstrates substantial benefits to manufacturers and to end-users when compared to existing ingredients.
Provides Emulsion Stabilization
PemuPur™ START polymer provides excellent emulsion stabilization at low use levels (0.5-1.0 wt%) and up to 50% oil content, limiting the need for co-emulsifiers. These characteristics, coupled with its limited surface activity, make it ideal for creating mild, fluid, and sprayable emulsions suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
PemuPur™ START polymer has a Renewable Carbon Index of 0.96, according to ISO 16128, and it is readily biodegradable (OECD 301F).

Telophi™ biotech ingredient is a biotechnological extract obtained from a Bacillus sp. isolated from the Florida Keys, USA. Resulook™ advanced botanical ingredient is a botanical extract from the Myrothamnus flabellifolius “resurrection plant” that revives the appearance of the eyes by improving hair nourishment and anchorage and promoting the growth and density of eyelashes and eyebrows.
