Published on 2014-03-06. Author : SpecialChem

Fenchem will formally launch a new product, named pine oil, in booth #1C40 at in-cosmetics 2014, held in Hamburg, Germany from 1-3 April 2014. Pine oil, obtained by extracting essential oils from the pine trees, is a strong daily life washing agent. Similar to tea tree and eucalyptus oil, extracts of pine are powerful agents against harmful organisms of all types, making it a great oil as detergent and disinfectant.

Pine oil is a blend of terpene hydrocarbons and cyclic terpene alcohols, which is mild. It has a relatively low human toxicity level, a low corrosion level and limited persistence. It has a strong sterilizing effect and superior ability of deodorization, wetness, clearance and penetration. When applied in cosmetics and toiletries, pine oil is having a very strong aroma and a little camphor balsamic, is used mainly in perfumery, soaps, shampoos, deodorants and various types of creams. It is also used as solvent for specialty dyes.
