BALANCE® RCF (INCI: Acrylates/Ceteareth-20 Methacrylate Crosspolymer) is an alkali swellable acrylic polymer that is specially designed to make crystal-clear hair gels. This unique polymer functions as both a fixative and a rheology modifier, allowing the formulator to replace two ingredients with one.
BALANCE® RCF polymer features unsurpassed formulating versatility: it can be used alone, with Carbomer and with other fixative polymers and rheology modifiers to achieve a wide range of textures, rheological properties and product performance benefits. Formulators will be able to use BALANCE® RCF polymer to develop high-performance gels, spray gels, styling creams, waxes, pomades, and other styling aids thanks to a number of unique benefits.

DERMACRYL® E (INCI: Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer) is a waterproofing, film-forming polymer that provides excellent SPF performance and feel on skin with reduced tackiness in emulsion sun care products. It also provides superior water resistance. In-vivo performance testing of DERMACRYL® E polymer and currently available film-forming polymers has shown that DERMACRYL® E polymer provides excellent water resistance in SPF 30 and SPF 50+ systems at low use levels.
DERMACRYL® 2.0 (INCI: Acrylates/Octylacrylamide Copolymer) is a waterproofing film-former designed to enable formulators to address the growing challenges presented in formulating ethanol-based sun protection products. The increased demand for continuous sprays and other ethanol-based sun care products, including pump sprays and gels, stems from their ability to provide quick application along with ease of use and convenience, which encourages regular and repeated use.
ARMOCARE® VGH-70 and ARQUAD® PC SV-60 are naturally-based, multifunctional, versatile conditioning agents. Their cationic character and unique structures make them substantive to both hair and skin while being compatible with a wide range of ingredients, including nonionic, cationic and mild anionic surfactants and polymers. They can be used in a wide range of personal care applications to provide a number of benefits.
The excellent conditioning performance made possible by these cationic conditioning agents includes improved detangling of wet air, superior dry combability, and soft and silky after-feel on hair and skin. Their cationic emulsification properties enable them to provide emulsion stabilization and unique aesthetics; enhance sensory properties of emulsions and leave a smooth, dry, powdery skin feel; and reduce oily feel and tackiness associated with high-oil-load formulations such as sun care products. Applications include hair conditioners and treatments, hair detanglers, hair colorants, styling products, cleansing conditioners, conditioning shampoos and cleansers as well as skin creams and lotions and sun care products.
