Firmenich has entered into exclusive negotiations with Ardian, Tikehau Capital and the family shareholders with a view to acquire Resin and Terpene Derivatives (“DRT”). DRT is one of the world leaders in the production of renewable ingredients with high added value from plant chemistry, mainly from pine derivatives.
DRT Brings New Skills to Firmenich’s Businesses

DRT's know-how strengthens Firmenich’s position as a major player in the perfume and ingredients businesses, thereby offering its customers the most complete range of sustainable and renewable ingredients. DRT will also bring new skills in health and nutrition, in cosmetics, as well as an opening to new markets, including adhesives, coatings and agriculture. This acquisition strengthens its presence in France, which is the second largest market where it has been established for over 120 years.
