Croda Opens New Labs in France and Singapore for its Global Personal Care BusinessCroda International Plc. has announced the opening of two leading edge laboratories in France and Singapore focusing on texture and sensory for skin care, respectively, for its global personal care business.

Creating Unique Textures

The investments in these new facilities will enable Croda to support customer demand for ideas and technical guidance, while further expanding its position as a thought leader in formulation science and innovation development.

The Centre of Innovation for Texture Science, located at its Sederma subsidiary in Le Perray en Yvelines, France will focus on creating new, unique textures through its understanding of ingredient combination. This lab is strategically sited with Sederma, the name behind high performance, active ingredients and technologies for the cosmetics industry, offering both a direct connection to these unique and specialized ingredients as well as offering proximity to the high-end and cutting-edge trends within formulation texture coming from France. This combination offers a unique advantage for Croda’s customers for both advanced ingredients and formulation development.

Strong Sensory Trends

The Centre of Innovation for Sensory Science, located in Croda’s offices in Singapore, will continue to allow the company to access the strong sensory trends within skin care in Asia, while prioritizing its existing sensory portfolio and driving knowledge and innovation in this area. Trends such as K-Beauty and J-Beauty are consistently challenging the global markets to stimulate the senses, thus a lab of this caliber fits well within the region. Using its access to data driven decision-making, Croda will empower its teams to push boundaries, imagining a world with limitless possibilities in sensory to deliver an exceptional consumer experience.

Enhanced Customer Engagement

Richard Butler, Global Head of Beauty Formulation, Croda Personal Care, stated: “we are extremely excited by these new state-of-the-art facilities, and we are sure they will provide great opportunities for enhanced customer engagement and potential collaboration projects. In addition, these labs will uniquely aid the creation of innovative products as well as addressing the constantly evolving formulation needs of the business around the world. By optimizing both texture and sensory, we will meet the growing demand in Personal Care for new, inventive technologies.”

Croda’s official opening of both these labs further expands its already extensive global laboratory network, offering an even greater level of formulation expertise for its customers and the marketplace.
