Beiersdorf_Unveils_New_Skin_Care_Brand_for_TattoosBeiersdorf’s new business unit OSCAR&PAUL- Corporate Indie Brands will be launching a care system solution, developed together with tattoo experts that precisely responds to the needs of such skin at the end of September.

The company spent almost two years engaged in in-depth research, creating an ‘Expert Circle’ for developing the skin care solution for tattoos. And the results are quite impressive:

  • The new Skin Stories brand offers four products for tattooed skin.
  • INKGUARD-Technology® is an entirely new product developed for maintaining the glory of tattoos on the skin.
  • The product has a combination of active ingredients that provides optimal care for tattoos.

Hauke Voß, Director of OSCAR&PAUL – Corporate Indie Brands said, “Tattoos are becoming more and more popular and have long since ceased to be a symbol of rebellion. They are now a personal accessory. But few people know how to look after tattoos properly.”

Conquers a New Skin Care Category

The company marks another milestone in the C.A.R.E.+ strategy with the launch of the first new Beiersdorf brand for more than 30 years. They have conquered a new skin care category with their care series for tattooed skin.

Beiersdorf has launched the new skin care brand with a mission “Making tattooing better and safer”. The challenge now is to gain attention in this niche market and offer consumers crucial added value.

New Skin Stories Brand Offers Four Products

  • Sun-protection in form of a stick.
  • Body lotion with UV filters for daily use.
  • Repair balm, suitable for new tattoos and skin regeneration.
  • Serum that offers tattoos intensive care and strengthens the skin’s structure.

Voß explained, “As tattooing is not an occupation that requires official training, there is no standard means of acquiring expertise in the field of dermatology, even though precisely this expertise would further improve the art of tattooing. Which is why, in addition to product development, Skin Stories established the Expert Circle, the first think tank for modern-day tattooing. This will now bring various disciplines in the fields of skin research and tattooing craftsmanship together.”

The new brand range consists of four products which will be available in retail stores and at selected certified tattoo studios by the end of September.
